Biographical Information[edit]
Tiny Osborne was given the name because he was 6' 4" tall and 215 lbs. He pitched 142 games in four seasons in the majors during the lively ball era.
Osborne's son, Ernest Osborne, was signed as a first baseman by the New Bern Bears in 1939 [1]. His other son, Bobo Osborne played in the majors for six seasons, primarily for the Detroit Tigers. His grandson Tim Osborne was a scout.
