Biographical Information[edit]

Todd Jones pitched 16 years in the big leagues and finished with 319 saves. His top save years include 2000, when he had 42 for the Detroit Tigers, and 2005 and 2006 when he had 40 and 37 for the Florida Marlins and Detroit Tigers respectively. In the 2006 World Series, he got the save in Game 2. He was the American League Rolaids Relief Award winner in 2000.

Jones is a columnist for The Sporting News. In his first year of eligibility for the Hall of Fame in 2014, he failed to receive a single vote and dropped off the ballot.
