Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Tom Harrison made his major league debut with the Kansas City Athletics as a pinch-runner on May 7, 1965, in a game against the California Angels. Ten days later, he took the mound for the only time of his career, pitching two-thirds of an inning in a 13-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox; he gave up a run on two hits and a walk during his stint.

Born in British Columbia, he went to high school and college in California. He pitched in the minor leagues in 1964 and 1965, going 8-11, 2.42 between two teams the first season. After his brief big league stint, he was placed on waivers and claimed by the Washington Senators. He made four starts for the Geneva Senators of the New York-Penn League and was done as a professional. Apart from his one major league appearance, he never pitched above Class A.
