Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Tom Lachmann played in the minor leagues in 1989 and 1990.

He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 9th round of the 1987 amateur draft out of high school, however he did not sign. In 1989, when he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 15th round of that year's amateur draft (3 picks before Pat Rapp), he did ink a contract.

He played for the Burlington Indians in 1989, hitting .184/.286/.286 with one home runs and three RBI in 17 games. He split 1990 between the GCL Indians and Reno Silver Sox, hitting a combined .424/.513/.606 with one home run and 13 RBI in 11 games.

Overall, Lachmann hit .280/.379/.415 with two home runs and 16 RBI in 28 games spread over two seasons.
