Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Toshio Ohara played in the first couple years of the Japan Professional Baseball League with the Hankyu club. He hit .133/.381/.133 in nine games in the spring 1937 season and .125/.263/.125 in the fall campaign. In 1938, he batted .143/.225/.155 in the spring and .257/.328/.327 in the fall. Overall, in 101 games, his offensive line was .185/.286/.217.

During World War II, Ohara served in the Japanese military and died in China from disease.
