Biographical Information[edit]

Ohio native Tot Pressnell spent thirteen active seasons in professional baseball from 1930 to 1942. He was a knuckleball pitcher.

He pitched nine seasons in the minor leagues with five different teams, none lower than class A ball. He built a 111-92 record with a 4.07 ERA while appearing in 315 games. He had six double-digit win seasons.

Pressnell was in the major leagues for five seasons, three (1938-1940) with the Brooklyn Dodgers and two (1941-1942) with the Chicago Cubs. He had a 32-30 record with a 3.80 ERA while appearing in 154 games during his big league time.

Pressnell left pro baseball after the 1942 season at the age of 35.
