Biographical Information

The brother of Johnny Pesky, Vince Pesky had a brief career in the New York Yankees chain. He played hockey and baseball in high school and baseball in college. He was 6-4 with a 5.32 ERA in 22 games for the 1948 Ventura Yankees and played 10 games for the 1949 Victoria Athletics. In 1950, he returned to his alma mater, the University of Portland, as head baseball coach for a year. He coached Jefferson High School and Marshall High School and was later vice principal at Marshall.
