Warwick Dooland was the oldest pitcher on the Australian national team in their first Amateur World Series, in 1978; he was the team's third-oldest player after Kevin Greatrex and Kerry Wither. He was 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two games, walking ten in seven innings.
