Biographical Information[edit]
Yukichi Maeda was a college coach.
Maeda was a P/OF in college, then played and managed Nippon Beer in the industrial leagues. He was coach of Keio University from 1960-1965 and 1982-1993. He managed the Japanese national team in the 1986 Amateur World Series. He was secretary general of the Japanese Baseball Federation from 1997-2006. He was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020, his 4th year of consideration by the Special Committee.
